Description: Officer Freeman was shot and critically injured when he and his partner responded to an automobile accident. Officer Freeman and his partner located one of the suspects involved in the accident sitting on the curb. As they approached the suspect, the man produced a handgun and shot Officer Freeman in the head. Officer Freeman was transported to a local hospital where he died the next day.
