Description: Prohibition Officer Farley was shot by moonshiners as he slept in his bed. The previous day, Officers Farley and G. Johnson seized a still and dismantled it. Three moonshiners went to Farley's home to retrieve the remains of the still. They entered the residence and shot Officer Farley. Officer Johnson, who was also in the house, returned fire but the suspects escaped. The suspects turned themselves in three days later.
