Description: Detective Foulks was shot in the heart during a scuffle between striking union molders and non-union men. Detective Foulks was inside a nearby building when he heard shots. Detective Foulks ran outside and was attempting to wrestle down one of the men when his gun fell from his holster. The man picked it up and shot Detective Foulks with his own gun. Detective Foulks died while being transported to the hospital. The suspect was arrested and tried for murder.
