Description: Reserve Lieutenant Garrison was struck and killed while directing traffic in front of a local church. Lieutenant Garrison had full protective gear on which included a reflecting vest and flashlight. His patrol car was also parked on the street with emergency lights flashing at the time of the incident. Lieutenant Garrison helped create the reserve unit of the Lantana Police Department in 1964 and was the highest ranking Reserve Officer at the time of his death.
