Description: Officer Guzman and his partner, Officer Bradley Mills, performed a routine traffic stop due to a defective tail light. The Officers observed narcotic paraphernalia in the vehicle. The suspect drew a small caliber pistol and opened fire, striking Officer Guzman in the chest. Both Officers Guzman and Mills fired several rounds at the suspect wounding him. Officer Guzman was rushed to a nearby hospital, but passed away before arrival. The suspect was apprehended.
