Description: On April 14, 1979, Inspection Officer Gay was kidnapped from his assigned rural, one-man outpost near the Georgia border. Inspector Gay's body was found one week later in Georgia with a gunshot wound to the head. Inspector Gay's clothing and service weapon were missing. Six suspects were eventually arrested and convicted of the murder.
