Description: Patrolman Garfield was fatally injured when his department motorcycle collided into the side of a vehicle that was making a left turn on Hixon and Kensington Drive. Patrolman Garfield suffered multiple head and arm injuries and was transported to the hospital where he died. The motorist was charged with reckless driving and manslaughter.
