Description: Deputy Sheriff Goodwill was shot as he attempted to arrest a murder suspect. Deputy Goodwill located the suspect at the train depot and a gunfight ensued. Deputy Goodwill was shot in the chest with a .41 pistol and died at the scene. The suspect fled the scene but his body was pulled from a lake a week later. An accomplice of the suspect was arrested.
