Description: Patrolman Gourley responded to a back-up call where a fellow officer needed assistance making an arrest at a local political rally. After arriving on the scene, Patrolman Gourley was stabbed in the neck and the ribs by one of the political candidates. Patrolman Gourley lost a lot of blood and was transported to a local hospital where he remained until his death three days later.
