Description: Corporal Gogian and Police Officer Jeff Atherly were shot while responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle outside of a grocery store. As Corporal Gogian and Officer Atherly questioned the suspect in the vehicle, the suspect exited his vehicle and opened fire. Both officers were shot in the head and died at the scene. The suspect fled the scene but was later shot and killed in a standoff with law enforcement officers.
