Description: Patrolman Grubb was on duty patrolling the streets during a New Year's Eve dance. An intoxicated suspect began disturbing dancers and other entertainers. Patrolman Grubb was asked to remove the suspect from the dance hall. The suspect was armed with three pistols, Patrolman Grubb found two of the weapons and began to escort the suspect to the jail. While en route to the jail, the suspect produced a third pistol and shot Patrolman Grubb four times killing him.
