Description: Deputy Grey, Deputy Bernard McCarthy and Deputy George Gilmore were on the lookout for a group of car bandits when they drove up alongside a group of suspicious-looking men. Marshal Grey was about to question them when the suspects began shooting. Marshal Grey died on the scene while Marshals Gilmore and McCarthy suffered minor wounds. Two suspects were captured by a posse.
