Description: Deputy Marshal Griffin was shot as he and fellow officer attempted to arrest two suspects wanted for robbing several post offices in Galveston, Texas. As the officers searched the residence, they were fired upon. Deputy Griffin was shot in the chest and died at the scene. The suspects were arrested.
