Description: Correctional Officer Gaitors died in an automobile crash as she and a second officer were en route to the Valdosta State Prison after completing their shift at the Ware State Prison. Their department van collided with a tractor-trailer and overturned. Officer Gaitors, who was the passenger, died at the scene. The second officer and the other driver recovered from their injuries.
