Description: K-9 Sergeant Gannon was shot and killed while assisting with serving an arrest warrant. Sergeant Gannon and his K-9 partner Nero were searching the home of a suspect and when they located the suspect in the attic, they were struck by gunfire. Sergeant Gannon was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. K-9 Nero survived. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with murder.
