Description: Deputy Sheriff Gatson died of a pulmonary embolism due to a fractured leg sustained in a single-vehicle crash on February 23, 2015. Deputy Sheriff Gatson's vehicle struck a patch of black ice, left the roadway, and struck a tree. Deputy Sheriff Gatson sustained a fractured leg and was treated and released from the hospital. Deputy Sheriff Gatson suffered a pulmonary embolism caused by the fractured leg and died on March 10, 2015.
