Description: Deputy Sheriff Gentry was shot on May 6, 2018, as he responded to an animal abuse case. Deputy Gentry and another deputy responded to the residence and made contact with a suspect who lived next door. As Deputy Gentry stood at the front door, the suspect opened fire. Deputy Gentry succumbed to his injuries the following day.
