Description: Deputy Griffin responded to an emergency back-up for one of his fellow officers. While responding with emergency equipment activated, Deputy Griffin's patrol unit collided with another vehicle and then struck a utility pole. Deputy Griffin was flown to the University of Arkansas Hospital where he remained in a coma for four days before succumbing to his injuries.
