Description: Deputy Sheriff Gibson and his partner Deputy Charles Hassett were shot as they attempted to arrest three men wanted in connection with a robbery in Georgia. Deputy Gibson was shot in the head and died at the scene. Deputy Hassett returned fire, killing the suspect. Deputy Hassett was also wounded but survived.
