Description: Sergeant Garrett was shot as he attempted to stop a robbery in progress at a bank. The suspect used the threat of a bomb to initiate the hold-up. Police responded to the silent alarm. When Sergeant Garrett identified himself, the suspect shot him in the head and chest. The suspect was fatally shot by responding officers. Detective Robert Peele was also shot but survived.
