Description: Officer Griffin observed an oncoming speeding car while conducting radar speed checks on Garnet Avenue. Officer Griffin attempted to signal the driver to slow down and pull over on the shoulder of the road. The driver did not see Officer Griffin and struck him on the roadway. Officer Griffin was transported to the hospital in critical condition where he lapsed into a coma and died ten days later.
