Description: Night Marshal Goeglein was shot when he attempted to quell a disturbance at a dance hall. One of the suspects involved in the fight drew his weapon and shot Marshal Goeglein several times. Marshal Goeglein died at the scene. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to seven years in prison. The suspect escaped from prison two years later and was fatally shot when he resisted arrest.
