Description: Sergeant Goodding was shot and killed while attempting to place a suspect under arrest. Sergeant Goodding and his partner located the subject of an arrest warrant while on patrol. The suspect resisted arrest and Sergeant Goodding's partner deployed his Taser. The suspect fell to the ground and when Sergeant Goodding attempted to gain control, the suspect produced a handgun and shot Sergeant Goodding below his ballistic vest. The second officer shot and killed the suspect. Sergeant Goodding was transported to the hospital where he died.
