Description: On April 4, 1997, Sergeant Gorman was shot as he investigated a suspicious parked vehicle. The bullet struck him in the abdomen just below his vest and caused considerable damage to his colon and intestines. Sergeant Gorman underwent many surgeries and suffered from internal bleeding. Sergeant Gorman died of shock due to gastro intestinal bleeding on October 1, 2014.
