Description: Deputy Sheriff Graves was shot when he went to a residence to retrieve a vehicle that was taken in a domestic disturbance dispute. The suspect shot Deputy Graves through the front door in the belief that he was a prowler. Deputy Graves returned fire and wounded the suspect before he died at the scene. The suspect was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to 10 years in prison but was paroled by the Governor after serving one year.
