Description: Detective Green was shot and killed as he and other officers searched for a suspect with a rifle in a residential neighborhood. Officers responded to a 911 call for 'shots fired' in a residence. The reporting party stated her husband discharged his rifle inside the residence, then left the residence with the firearm. As officers searched for the suspect, he opened fire on officers, striking Detective Green in the head. Detective Green was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The suspect was taken into custody.
