Description: Deputy Sheriffs Guard and Emma Benson were returning from transporting a prisoner to the asylum when their department vehicle was struck by a train at a crossing. Deputy Guard and Deputy Benson were killed instantly. Deputy Maurice Reyes was injured but survived.
