Description: Patrolmen Gillis and Charles Pelton were on patrol on Halloween when their motorcycle crashed into an illegally erected barricade. Patrolman Gillis was transported to the hospital with a broken back and died a few hours later. Policeman Pelton died of a fractured skull.
