Description: Sgt. "Lee" Gonzalez was just a half hour away from the end of his shift and 150 yards from the police station when he made a traffic stop on a Sunday night. One of the occupants of the vehicle, a motorcycle gang member and paroled murderer, shot and killed Sgt. Gonzalez during the stop. Although Sergeant Gonzales was wearing his vest, the bullet penetrated the side panel.
