Description: Special Agent Green and Town Marshal William Dunnam were fatally shot during the raid of a moonshine still in Richton, Mississippi. One suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to death but committed suicide just before he was scheduled to be hung in the gallows. A second suspect was also convicted of murder and sentenced to be executed by hanging. That suspect attempted to escape with a smuggled handgun and fatally shot Jailer Russell Harris who gained control of the gun and fatally shot the suspect.
