Description: Special Agent Gross was struck by an inbound passenger train while on guard at the Tehuacana Creek Railroad bridge near Waco, TX. An investigation conducted by the Texas Rangers absolved the engineering crew of blame in the accident. Although a coroner's jury ruled the death as accidental, Texas Rangers expressed a belief that Agent Gross was the victim of foul play. No arrests were ever made.
