Description: Sheriff Goodwin was in pursuit of two juvenile offenders who were attempting to escape the jail. Sheriff Goodwin ran downstairs from the second floor and caught one of the suspects in the middle of the street. As Sheriff Goodwin attempted to escort the suspect back inside, he collapsed. Sheriff Goodwin was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead of a heart attack. The suspects, ages 15 and 16, were captured.
