Description: Sergeant Gilbert was killed when his patrol car struck the back of a tractor-trailer on the shoulder of I-75. The illegally parked vehicle had neither hazard lights nor flares identifying his position. As Sergeant Gilbert exited the interstate, his patrol car struck the back of the tractor-trailer and went underneath the trailer portion which killed Sergeant Gilbert instantly.
