Description: Officer Gunnell and Constable Bundrick responded to a call where two men were sleeping in the roadway. As Officer Bundrick came upon the scene, he failed to see the sleeping men and had to swerve the police vehicle at the last minute. The police cruiser went down an embankment and into a ditch. Constable Bundrick escaped injuries but Officer Gunnell was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene of a crushed chest and broken neck.
