Description: On February 29, 1964, Patrolman Garrison collapsed after attempting to arrest a mentally deranged suspect who resisted arrest. The suspect struck Patrolman Garrison in the face, breaking several of his teeth. The suspect also struck Patrolman Garrison several times in the chest and body. Patrolman Garrison was transported to the hospital where he remained until his death a month later on March 30, 1964.
