Description: Constable Garcia was killed by a suspect who had escaped from jail. Constable Garcia had arrested the suspect earlier for carrying a deadly weapon. Constable Garcia was out patrolling on horseback when the suspect ambushed him and stabbed him in the head. Witnesses saw escaped prisoner Diego Luccro fleeing the scene. Constable Garcia's body was found by local teamsters. The suspect had stolen the Constable's horse and pistol.
