Description: Officer Gordon was killed when his patrol car was struck by a vehicle being operated by an intoxicated driver. Officer Gordon and another officer were on patrol, with Officer Gordon driving, when the drunken driver ran a red light and broadsided their patrol unit. Both officers were injured and transported to a local hospital where Officer Gordon died. His partner was treated and released.
