Description: Deputy Sheriff Gorman was shot when he attempted to stop an altercation between three men outside of the county courthouse. Deputy Gorman ordered everyone to put down their weapons. One of the men responded by firing his weapon and shot Deputy Gorman. Deputy Gorman returned fire and killed his assailant before he succumbed to his wounds.
