Description: Trooper Green was shot and killed after he stopped to check on a vehicle parked on the side of the road with its trunk opened. Trooper Green radioed dispatch that he was investigating the vehicle outside of Devol, five miles north of the Texas State line. Trooper Green was shot several times by a suspect who had been manufacturing methamphetamine. A deputy from Cotton County found Trooper Green's body alongside a rural county road.
