Description: Captain Grier was injured in a single vehicle crash while responding to an emergency call for assistance from follow deputies. Captain Grier lost control of the patrol vehicle in heavy rain conditions and struck a telephone pole. Captain Grier was transported to the hospital where he remained until his death eight days later.
