Description: Chief Guiton received a call from a citizen at the local railroad yard that four men were looting a freight car. Chief Guiton had deputized several citizens to assist with apprehending the suspects. Suspects were arrested and transported to the police station. Once in station Chief Guiton was left alone with the suspects, and one of them had a concealed weapon. The chief was shot several times, and died in the police station.
