Description: Patrolman Gallimore was abducted and shot by a convicted felon who was on a work release program. Patrolman Gallimore stopped to investigate an automobile accident when the suspect pulled a gun and a struggled ensued. The suspect gained control of Patrolman Gallimore's service weapon and forced him into the patrol car. Patrolman Gallimore was fatally shot as he attempted to take the gun from the suspect. Responding officers were in pursuit of the suspect when he turned the gun on himself and committed suicide.
