Description: Inspector Giacomelli was shot and killed while investigating a homicide. Inspector Giacomelli had gone to the home on Abbott Street to interview the suspect, a parolee, about the murder. Inspector Giacomelli's body was found inside the home by another inspector who was working on the case with him. Inspector Giacomelli had been shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
