Description: Agent Goldstein drowned in the Coachella Canal near Niland, California while attempting to rescue his K-9 partner, Carlo. After Agent Goldstein failed to respond to the department dispatch, local law enforcement departments and the CHP Patrol Air division searched for Agent Goldstein near the Salton Sea area where his car patrol vehicle was parked. Agent Goldstein's body was found a few miles from his vehicle floating in the Coachella Canal.
