Description: Sergeant Gonzales was shot and killed when he and three deputies investigated reports of a man shooting at an airplane. When the deputies arrived at the scene, the suspect was intoxicated and armed with several weapons opened fire and killed Sergeant Gonzales. Another deputy was shot and wounded in this incident but survived.
