Description: Guardsman Gill was killed in a boating accident while on duty as a U.S. Coast Guardsman. He and members of the security team were conducting maritime security operations in Puget Sound, Washington when he was ejected from his patrol boat. Guardsman Gill received severe injuries when his head struck the propeller of the boat. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
