Description: Texas Ranger Guffey was shot in an exchange of gunfire as he and Ranger John Aycock attempted to arrest a kidnapping and homicide suspect during a ransom drop. Ranger Aycock returned fire and fatally wounded the suspect. Ranger Guffey was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head and died an hour later. The kidnapped two year old child was unharmed.
