Description: Deputy Sheriff Garibay was killed in a head-on automobile crash with another police vehicle on Hwy 95 as they attempted to stop a fleeing suspect. Deputy Garibay was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The second officer survived his injuries. The suspect was convicted of manslaughter, aggravated assault and unlawful flight. Inadvertent action.
