Description: Patrolman Gleason was directing traffic at a local intersection. While assisting some pedestrians cross the street, Patrolman Gleason was struck down by a speeding horse and cab. Patrolman Gleason fell under the horse and the horse stepped on his head. The wheels of the wagon then ran over Patrolman Gleason's neck. Patrolman Gleason died at the scene of the accident.
