Description: Constable Godfrey was struck by an automobile as he crossed the highway to arrest a suspect at the Fincher tourist camp. As Constable Godfrey crossed the highway, he was struck by the car even though the driver had swerved to try to avoid hitting him. The driver transported Constable Godfrey to the hospital where he died of his injuries. The driver was not charged with an offense.
